Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Mid-Level/Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design on power and industrial projects in Bothell, WA with hybrid work options. The role covers scope development, budgeting, and performing advanced system studies, with P.E.

licensure preferred. Candidates should have 6–9 years for mid-level or 10–20 years for senior, strong client communication skills, and proficiency with ETAP/SKM/Easy Power/CDEGS.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer degree from a recognized university.
• 10–20 years of experience for senior positions.
• 6–9 years of experience for mid-level positions.
• Solid engineering design background in power, industrial and high voltage substations (AIS and GIS).
• Strong knowledge of NEC, ANSI/IEEE codes and standards.
• Leadership skills to lead projects and engineering design teams.
• P.E. license in the US or NCEES record.
• Experience sizing, specifying and selecting transformers, generators, motors and HV substation equipment (AIS/GIS).
• Experience in developing one-line and multi-line diagrams, schematic diagrams.
• Experience in power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, relay coordination, grounding).
• Familiar with ETAP, SKM, Easy Power, CDEGS software.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering design on power and industrial projects.
• Support project scope and estimating.
• Contribute to project cost and schedule items.
• Monitor and control design budget.
• Perform electrical system studies and calculations (load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, arc flash, grounding).
• Prepare engineering reports, tender and construction drawings.
• Prepare equipment specifications and conduct bid evaluations.
• Develop power distribution layouts and grounding/lightning protection designs.
• Develop wiring diagrams and single/three-line diagrams.
• Assist with field construction, commissioning, and factory acceptance tests.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
