Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Power and Industrial Engineering team in Bothell, WA or Exton, PA, with consideration for nearby U.S. locations.

You will lead design of power generation facilities, ensuring code compliance and quality, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or closely related discipline).
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, focused on power generation.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, OSHA codes and standards.
• Proficiency with structural analysis/design tools: RISA, STAAD, SAP2000.
• Experience with dynamic analysis and seismic response preferred.
• Familiarity with SmartPlant 3D, Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and own deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute civil/structural design for power facilities (concrete/steel, foundations, site development).
• Deliver designs conforming to codes, standards, and AtkinsRéalis policies.
• Coordinate design activities to meet project schedules.
• Support site visits, project estimating, and meetings.
• Produce accurate, high-quality designs aligned with specs.
• Review internal/external designs for code compliance and constructability.
• Prepare project specifications for procurement and installation.
• Address site queries and conduct inspections as needed.
• Maintain design/construction documentation and as-built records.
