Job summary

Williams-Sonoma is seeking a Senior/Staff Electrical Engineer to lead the design and optimization of electrical systems for critical infrastructure, including pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. You will drive Power Innovation initiatives, integrating automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage, and advanced controls to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university; staff: 15 years experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industry.
  • Senior: 8+ years in electrical engineering for relevant sectors; PE license preferred.
  • Master’s degree and PE license are preferred.
  • Experience with FEED/EPC projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks for critical infrastructure.
  • Drive power innovation initiatives, including automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage, and advanced control systems.
  • Apply arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and protection systems safety practices.
  • Provide expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system design for new construction and upgrades.
  • Manage engineering projects from concept through execution, aligning with scope, schedule, and business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE).
  • Analyze system performance and reliability; identify optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions meeting operational needs.
  • Mentor engineers and influence engineering standards and decisions.
