Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college.
  • Four years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industry.
  • PE licensure preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize electrical systems and power distribution for critical infrastructure.
  • Promote integration of automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage.
  • Implement arc flash mitigation and fault detection measures.
  • Provide electrical schematics and layout guidance for new and upgraded facilities.
  • Lead small teams and present to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

As an Electrical Engineer II/III , you'll manage complex projects that directly impact operations. You'll apply your expertise to design solutions, troubleshoot issues, and drive innovation. Responsibilities/Expectations
  • Works on the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
  • Promotes the integration of advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs.
  • Implements robust safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability.
  • Provides technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for both new construction and upgrades to existing facilities.
  • Participates in complex engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education/years of experience
Engineer III:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university and four (4) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industry.
  • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Other Requirements
  • Knowledge of reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements.
  • Working knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.).
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills.
Preferred Requirements
  • Preferred: Experience with PLCs.
  • Preferred: Project Management experience.
  • Preferred: Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects.
  • Preferred: Supports the designing and implementation of Instrumentation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
Power Innovation: Additional Requirements
  • Knowledge in power system design, analysis, and simulation (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink or similar tools)
  • Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear
  • Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems
  • Experience in supporting procurement processes for electrical equipment and materials, with established industry contacts for sourcing reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Preferred: Experience with participation of the commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications
