Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA in Livermore, CA seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Distribution to design and industrialize electrical systems for heavy‑duty transit buses. You’ll lead requirements analysis, concept and detailed design, BOM development, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver robust electrical solutions.

Responsibilities include harness design, power distribution, EMC, signal integrity, and thermal management, using ECAD tools such as Zuken, Zuken E3, Capital, and AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Experience in automotive/heavy‑duty vehicle design is a plus.
• Strong BOM/documentation control and change management.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain BOMs; define part/applications and modular structure.
• Use analysis tools for power, grounding, EMI, signal integrity, thermal management.
• Perform design trade‑offs for robust, manufacturable concepts.
• Use ECAD tools to create and release schematics and harness assemblies.
• Support BOM structuring, Change Control, PCO, and production changes.
• Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and manufacturing teams throughout lifecycle.
