ALTEN Technology USA is looking for a Power Electronics Hardware Engineer to support a leading electric vehicle manufacturer in Newark, CA. In this full-time, on-site role, you will lead the full V-cycle development of 12V Power Distribution Units (PDUs), choosing power electronic components and developing hardware solutions.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of hands-on automotive power electronics hardware design experience.
• Proficiency in OrCAD schematic capture is a hard requirement.
• Experience designing and analyzing half-bridge and full-bridge switching topologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead full V-cycle development of 12V PDUs, including requirements definition.
• Design ECU hardware focusing on power electronics and load switching.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and validation teams across the hardware program.

Skills

Automotive power electronics hardware design

Hands-on experience with ECUs
