Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer to design and industrialize electrical systems for heavy-duty transit buses. You will own requirements analysis, concept and detailed design, BOM development, and supplier collaboration to optimize vehicle performance.

You will work with cross-functional teams across mechanical, controls, and manufacturing to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions, from development through production launch.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Automotive/heavy-duty vehicle design familiarity is a plus.
• Experience with BOM and configuration management is needed.
• CAD experience with Zuken or Capital is expected.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain BOMs and manage configuration efficiency.
• Assess supplier components and optimize design concepts.
• Analyze designs for power, grounding, EMC, signal integrity, and thermal management.
• Perform design trade-offs for manufacturability and reliability.
• Use ECAD tools to create and release harness assemblies.
• Support BOM structuring, Change Control, PCO, and Engineered Production Change.
• Support lifecycle from development to production, including field support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (mechanical, controls, manufacturing).
