Job summary

BSI Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design power distribution systems across industrial, commercial, and process facilities. You will lead electrical design efforts, ensure code compliance and safety, and collaborate with our full-service team to deliver integrated designs from scope through commissioning.

The role requires 5+ years of electrical design experience, proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit and load studies, and familiarity with NEC and lighting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience.
• Experience with load studies and industrial power distribution.
• Familiar with the National Electrical Code and lighting design.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical design scope for single and multi-discipline projects with leadership when assigned.
• Ensure quality and technical accuracy of deliverables including calculations and design effort.
• Meet discipline engineering schedule and budget objectives.
• Design low voltage industrial power distribution systems (600V and below).
• Specify power distribution equipment and size overcurrent protection.
• Assist in design of medium voltage systems and MV equipment integration.
• Support short circuit, arc flash, coordination and load studies.
• Prepare MCCs layout, and modify cable tray/conduit designs.
• Interface with clients regularly and assist in construction support.
