• BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in power distribution design, including medium voltage.
• Hands-on electrical system design capability plus AutoCAD drafting/modeling.
• Advanced knowledge of NEC/NESC and vendor management experience.

Descripción del empleo

• Permanent position for a Senior Electrical Engineer providing power distribution design and project engineering for industrial facility, capital and major-maintenance projects.
• Produce construction document packages, including drawings and specifications, for medium voltage and industrial power systems.
• Develop and revise one-lines, schematics, panel schedules, wiring/termination diagrams, cable routing, equipment layouts and bills of material.
• Size cable and conduit for power distribution and data systems; interpret associated controls drawings.
• Perform field inspections of plant equipment, panels and existing installations to verify site conditions.
• Prepare contractor scopes of work and bid packages.
• Review contractor and vendor shop drawings and submittals.
• Coordinate contract engineering resources and outside suppliers within multi-disciplinary project teams.
• BS Electrical Engineering (equivalent experience considered for otherwise well-qualified candidates).
• Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in power distribution design, including medium voltage systems.
• Hands-on electrical system design capability plus drafting/modeling skills in AutoCAD.
• Advanced working knowledge of the NEC and NESC.
• Experience managing contract resources and outside vendors.
• Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office.
• Experience with power system analysis software (load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, coordination) a plus.
• Experience with 3D BIM modeling software and heavy industrial (metals or similar process industry) electrical design a plus.
