Job summary

The Shaw Group in Tyler, TX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and analyze industrial electrical power systems, ensuring safety, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

You will lead design efforts, mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients and project teams, and ensure compliance with NEC, IEC standards, and PIP processes.

Bachelor's in electrical engineering required; PE license mandatory; 6–15 years EPC experience; ETAP/SKM experience preferred; on-site role.

Qualifications

• PE license is required and must be current.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Experience with EPC environments and electrical power systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, revise, and approve electrical designs and schedules.
• Design industrial power systems per codes and client specs.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and teams to ensure project execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and support professional development.
• Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and engineering documentation.
• Analyze existing systems for performance and reliability improvements.
• Use ETAP/SKM and other tools for analyses and calculations.
• Promote safety and maintain compliance with company policies.
