The Shaw Group, Llc in Tyler, Texas is seeking an Electrical Designer with 5+ years of Oil & Gas EPC experience to lead complete electrical design for module packages, ensuring compliance with client specs and international codes. You will perform 3D modeling and various electrical layouts, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, constructible, and cost-effective electrical systems.

Responsibilities include creating SLDs, load calculations, substations layouts, and equipment

Qualifications

3–5 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, EPC projects.
Experience across FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Execution phases.
Proficiency with CAD/3D modeling and electrical standards.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical design deliverables such as SLDs, load lists, and load calculations.
Prepare electrical layouts for general-purpose and hazardous areas per codes.
Review specifications and data sheets for MV/LV equipment.
Support equipment selection and installation design per project specs.
Ensure designs comply with IEC, IEEE, NEC, UL, IS, API standards.
Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Civil disciplines.
Support clarifications with vendors and review vendor drawings.
Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and model reviews.
Provide engineering support during construction, testing, and commissioning.
