Job summary

The Shaw Group, Llc is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a Tyler, TX project. You will design industrial electrical power systems, analyze existing systems, and ensure safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness per client specs and applicable codes.

Lead engineering activities, mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and project teams, and drive continuous process improvements while upholding safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• PE license holder.
• 6–15 years EPC experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and negotiation skills.
• Experience with medium/high voltage power systems and microgrid controllers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, revise, and approve electrical designs, drawings, calculations, and schedules.
• Design industrial electrical power systems per codes and client specs.
• Coordinate with clients, PMs, and multidisciplinary teams for project execution.
• Mentor, train, and onboard junior engineers.
• Analyze existing systems for performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Utilize ETAP/SKM and other tools to support multiple disciplines.
• Promote safe, collaborative work environment and adhere to safety policies.
