Job summary

Stratus, a leading multi-disciplinary engineering and design firm, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer II (PE) to provide expert-level technical leadership on complex commercial projects. You will oversee design, analysis, and construction, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements.

You will guide project teams, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with architects and contractors to deliver integrated building systems.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 10–15 years of engineering design and project management experience.
• Experience with MEP and Fire Prevention systems in the commercial sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and technical development of engineering projects with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications meeting regulatory and client requirements.
• Oversee integration of civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, and environmental systems.
• Provide technical oversight during construction, review submittals, and address issues on site.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Conduct quality control reviews at key milestones for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants for coordinated project delivery.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to ensure client expectations are met.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet milestones within budget.
• Stay current with industry advancements and incorporate innovative solutions where applicable.
