Job summary

Stratus, an integrated engineering, architecture, interior design, and consulting firm, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer II (PE) to lead complex commercial projects. You will oversee design, analysis, and construction phases, guiding teams and ensuring compliance with standards.

You will mentor engineers, perform quality reviews, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate, timely, and innovative solutions for diverse clients nationwide.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 10–15 years of experience in engineering design and project management.
• Prior experience with MEP and Fire Prevention systems in the commercial sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical development of engineering projects, providing expert guidance to project teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Oversee integration of building systems (civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, environmental).
• Provide technical oversight during construction, reviewing submittals and conducting site visits.
• Mentor and lead junior engineers, supporting their technical growth.
• Conduct quality control reviews at key milestones to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants for seamless coordination.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, delivering technical expertise and aligning with client expectations.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet milestones and stay within budget.
• Stay current with industry advancements and incorporate innovations into designs.
