Job summary

PRIME AE Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer I (PE) to join its growing MEP team across multiple states.

You will lead electrical system design for diverse building types and collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and field personnel to ensure designs meet project requirements and codes. The role includes mentoring junior engineers and supporting multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction, with focus on power distribution, lighting, grounding, and fire

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing in the state where the position is based (or ability to obtain).
• Experience designing electrical systems including power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding and bonding, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of electrical systems from concept through final construction documentation.
• Perform electrical engineering analyses and calculations to support system design and performance.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges across multiple project types.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Review and apply applicable codes and standards related to electrical system design.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers within the MEP department.
• Participate in design reviews and support construction-phase services as needed.
