Job summary

Corbin Consulting Engineers in Hillsboro, Oregon seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with a PE to lead design and consultancy for power, lighting, distribution, and control systems on diverse technology and industrial projects.

You will work with a multi‑discipline team, interface with clients, prepare specifications, perform short circuit and arc flash studies, and ensure NEC compliance while advancing your career in an employee‑owned firm.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience as an independent designer/engineer.
• Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred.
• PE license, or ability to obtain PE registration within six months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Engineering studies of power and low voltage systems to survey existing conditions.
• Design of electrical systems including power, lighting, distribution, heat trace, and installation.
• Short circuit and arc flash analysis; protection device coordination.
• Low voltage systems including instrumentation, control, life safety and security.
• Coordination with multi‑discipline team members and clients.
• interface with customers for design reviews and consultations.
• Technical writing for specifications, sequences of operations, testing documents and reports.
