Job summary

Joseph Michaels International seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer II (P.E.) to serve as a technical authority on complex commercial buildings. The role is based in Houston, TX with relocation assistance and a flexible hybrid work model.

You will lead the electrical design, calculations, and drawings for large-scale projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, perform QC, and provide construction oversight. Mentorship and project leadership are key parts of the position.

Qualifications

• PE licensure required.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• 10–15 years of engineering design and PM experience in commercial MEP and Fire Protection.
• Proven ability to lead large or complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, calculations, drawings, and specifications for complex commercial projects.
• Coordinate electrical with civil, mechanical, structural, and environmental disciplines.
• Perform QC, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee construction including site visits and submittal reviews.
• Mentor junior staff and manage project schedules, resources, and budgets.
