Job summary

UTEC, Acteon's Geo-services unit, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in Houston to lead design, integration, and lifecycle support of electrical, control, and power systems for offshore/subsea operations. You will drive schematics, power studies, and interface requirements across multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in offshore/marine automation, strong leadership, and experience with FAT/SAT and field deployments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
10+ years in offshore, subsea, marine, or industrial automation environments.
Experience designing and integrating subsea equipment and marine electrical systems.
Experience developing electrical integration, commissioning, FAT and SAT procedures.
Strong ability to create/review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction documentation.
Knowledge of subsea power distribution, instrumentation, communications, control systems, and fiber-optic interfaces.
Familiar with NEC, IEC, NFPA, and marine electrical standards.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, Altium, or similar tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present technical info to stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams; travel as needed.
PE license preferred; experience with DNV/ABS and offshore systems a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering activities for PROD systems upgrades and field support.
Develop and review electrical deliverables: schematics, wiring diagrams, power studies, specifications.
Support design and integration of mechanical/electrical/fiber-optic umbilical systems.
Develop vessel electrical interface requirements and mobilization packages.
Design and integrate LV/HV power distribution for subsea operations.
Create and implement integration, commissioning, FAT, SAT, and system readiness procedures.
Provide offshore support, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations.
Review vendor documents and interface drawings for compliance.
Coordinate with mechanical, controls, software, and operations teams for safe, reliable solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and maintain configuration management and docs.
