Job summary

Terradepth is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer focused on undersea robotics to own end-to-end electrical architecture for autonomous subsea systems, including power, embedded electronics, sensing, and control interfaces.

The role requires hands-on design from schematic to PCB, system integration, and field validation in harsh marine environments, with collaboration across mechanical, software, and operations teams to deliver reliable robotic platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience in electrical subsystem design for robotics or high-reliability platforms.
• Strong understanding of power electronics, harness design, and PCBA layout.
• Experience with marine, subsea, or hybrid electric design.
• U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end electrical architecture for autonomous subsea systems.
• Lead design, prototyping, testing and production of hardware including power, sensing and control interfaces.
• Collaborate across mechanical, software and operations teams to deliver reliable robotic platforms.
• Perform FMEA and lifecycle management; troubleshoot and iterate designs.
• Engage with vendors and manage PCB fabrication and harness production.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians; travel 10–20% as needed.
