Job summary

EDG Inc. in Houston seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer III to lead electrical design efforts for offshore and onshore projects.

You will coordinate with multi-discipline teams and ensure compliant, integrated electrical systems per client specs and industry standards. The role requires 5–10 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of power generation and distribution, and proficiency with ETAP/SKM.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred).
• 5–10 years experience designing electrical power generation and distribution for offshore oil & gas, onshore processing, refining or related sectors.
• Experience in multi-discipline project teams and cost estimating.
• Knowledge of ANSI/NEMA/NFPA/API/UL/IEEE codes and IEC standards.
• Experience leading factory acceptance testing of equipment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead design team for power generation, distribution and control systems for offshore/onshore projects.
• Prepare and review specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment.
• Prepare and review calculations using ETAP or SKM.
• Prepare layouts for electrical buildings, wiring, and grounding.
• Review project specifications and provide alternatives as needed.
• Support procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities.
• Travel to various sites as required.
