Job summary
UTEC, Acteon's Geo-services division, seeks a qualified Survey Engineer for the Offshore team in the United States. The role involves substantial vessel mobilizations and offshore support, with long days and extended travel required to ensure safety, quality, and timely data delivery.
Responsibilities include configuring survey equipment, wiring, networking, data handling, and maintaining calibration and certification on equipment used across vessels.
Qualifications
- Education in electronics or engineering preferred, with relevant survey discipline experience.
- Experience with survey sensors, electronics, and networking essential.
- Ability to work in teams and independently with high accuracy.
- Must hold a valid passport permitting travel to operating countries.
Responsibilities
- Ensure engineering work on site meets safety, contractual, and quality requirements.
- Configure and calibrate vessel equipment and maintain certifications.
- Work onshore and offshore with extended travel and vessel mobilizations.
- Set up survey networks, interface sensors to online systems, and test.
- Maintain data storage, network integrity, and CCTV/video systems.
