Job summary

Antares is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to architecture, design, testing, and integration of instrumentation and control and power distribution for advanced nuclear microreactors.

You will work with systems, mechanical, software, licensing, and test teams to ensure electrical designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements across multiple applications. Hands-on design and documentation support for DOE and NRC licensing are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in design, development, integration or testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Strong grasp of DC/AC circuits, impedance, and transient behavior.
• Ability to read and review electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with design tools (SPICE, schematic capture, layout tools).
• Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
• Ability to assess failure modes and safe states in electrical/control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for reactor instrumentation, control, and power distribution from concept to detail.
• Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface definitions for sensors and control hardware.
• Review schematics, harnesses, and control panels for safety and traceability.
• Participate in design reviews ensuring electrical/I&C sections are sound.
• Assist with hazard analysis and mitigation of electrical/instrumentation failures.
• Support bench testing, HIL/HITL, and integration campaigns.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, and licensing teams.
