Job summary

engineeringjobs.net, Inc. is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to support the design, integration, and production engineering of Navy ship electrical systems in a fast-paced DoD environment.

The role requires 7+ years of DoD/Navy/federal program experience, with shipboard systems, CAD, and FMEA familiarity, and may require travel up to 25% with an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience supporting DoD, Navy, or federal programs.
  • Experience with military systems, shipbuilding, shipyard, detailed design, CAD, and FMEA.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but may be waived with 10 years of experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, integration, and production engineering of Navy ship electrical systems (power distribution, propulsion, pulsed loads, protection, safety and control).
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, shipyards, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop and review technical documentation and analyses.
  • Contribute to design reviews and shipbuilding process improvements.
