Salas O’Brien is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead power distribution, emergency power, and resiliency design for complex federal facility programs in the Baltimore/Washington area. You will guide technical solutions for secure, high-hazard environments and oversee construction documentation and project leadership.

The role requires a PE, 10+ years of design experience, and the ability to manage client relations across DOE/NNSA, DoD, and institutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• At least 10 years of design experience in electrical engineering.
• 2 years of project management experience is preferred.
• Experience with power distribution, emergency power, and electrical resiliency systems.

Responsabilités

• Meet with clients to determine electrical power distribution, emergency power, and resiliency requirements.
• Develop electrical system designs based on project scope and hazardous occupancy/security classifications.
• Provide engineering design for base building power distribution, lighting, and specialty systems for mission-critical environments.
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit studies, and system sizing using standard tools.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and lead project teams; provide construction services.
