Job summary

LJC Design & Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, including data centers and high-tech manufacturing. You will design power distribution, UPS, emergency power, and redundancy strategies, while coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure uptime and safety.

Ideal candidates have ABET-instituted electrical engineering degrees, 10+ years in the field, PE licensure, and hands-on experience with NEC/IEEE/NFPA 70E

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, with 3+ years on mission-critical projects.
• PE license required to seal engineering documents (multi-state licensure preferred).
• Proficiency in power distribution, redundancy planning, energy efficiency for high-reliability facilities.
• Experience with power analysis tools: SKM, ETAP, EasyPower.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for mission-critical projects (data centers, high-tech facilities), ensuring code compliance and client satisfaction.
• Develop power distribution, grounding, UPS, emergency power, and redundancy strategies.
• Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies to optimize reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams to integrate electrical systems.
• Provide field support during construction and mentor junior engineers.
