Job summary

LJC Design & Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support design and implementation of electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, including data centers and high-tech manufacturing. You will work with a Senior Electrical Engineer to produce detailed designs, analyses, and coordinated drawings in a fast-paced design-build environment.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 3–7 years of relevant experience, EIT, and proficiency with power-system tools.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• EIT required; PE license preferred or actively pursuing.
• 3-7 years of Electrical Engineering experience, with data center or high-tech manufacturing exposure preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power systems and code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for mission-critical projects under the direction of a Senior Electrical Engineer.
• Produce medium- and low-voltage power distribution, grounding, UPS, standby generator, and redundancy designs (N+1, 2N, distributed/block-redundant).
• Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using industry-standard software.
• Prepare construction documents, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, structural, and EPMS teams to integrate electrical systems.
• Support construction administration activities including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and field observations.
• Contribute to client meetings and presentations, communicating technical solutions effectively.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in the mission-critical industry.
