Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Portland, Oregon office is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join their MEP team. This in-person role centers on leading the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for large-scale projects.

You will develop design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, schematics, and one-line diagrams, coordinate with architects and other disciplines, mentor junior staff, and help grow our electrical engineering service areas regionally and

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in an Electrical Engineering role.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of complex electrical systems for MEP projects.
• Develop design documents, reports, and electrical schematics.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across Kimley-Horn offices.
• Prepare electrical construction cost estimates and proposals.
• Mentor and grow a local MEP team.
