Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with 8+ years of consulting engineering experience to design and oversee electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and related systems for energy-efficient buildings. This onsite role is based in CMTA's Minneapolis, MN office and involves collaboration with a team of engineers on diverse projects.

The ideal candidate has strong technical background, is self-motivated, and excels at client-facing coordination with Owners,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in MEP design.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience with internal and external project management.
• Experience in MEP design and specifications.
• Experience with managing Owner and Architect relationships.
• Experience with Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 and Commercial market sectors.
• Experience with Revit/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee design and construction projects internally within the office and externally with clients and contractors.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers.
• Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Stamp drawings, prepare affidavits, etc.
• Interface with owners, clients, architects, and contractors; lead meetings as needed.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and criteria to tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers and staff to meet deadlines.
• Apply engineering principles to meet project requirements.
• Design and specify system components to meet goals.
• Research design requirements and evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance.
• Review contractor submittals for conformance.
