Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 8+ years of consulting experience. The role focuses on designing and overseeing electrical systems, power distribution, lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and coordination of low-voltage systems for bid and construction on diverse projects.

The position is located on-site in the Dallas-Plano, Texas office, offering leadership to staff engineers and collaboration with owners, architects, and contractors to meet project

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with MEP design.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with internal and external project management.
• Experience with MEP design and specifications.
• Experience with managing Owner and Architect relationships.
• Experience in Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 and Commercial sectors.
• Experience with Revit/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide design and construction projects internally within the office and externally with clients and contractors.
• Provide guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers.
• Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Professionally stamp drawings, prepare affidavits, etc.
• Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication; lead meetings as needed.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks.
• Confer with other engineers and personnel to meet deadlines.
• Apply engineering principles to meet project requirements.
• Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with goals.
• Research and analyze client requirements to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance.
• Review contractor submittals for conformance.
