Job summary

DeBra-Kuempel seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical system solutions for diverse projects, collaborating with Project Managers, Electrical Estimators, Field Superintendents, and other engineering disciplines.

The role covers power distribution, building/HVAC control, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage systems, and infrastructure upgrades. Mentorship of junior engineers is expected, with emphasis on code compliance.

Qualifications

10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
PE licensure in OH, KY, IN or ability to gain reciprocity.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Excel, Word & other Microsoft Office products.
Experience performing or supporting arc flash studies and infrared thermography inspections.
General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
Experience using CAD programs like Revit, AutoCAD.
Ability to travel up to 40% locally, including on-site support in Columbus office.

Responsibilities

Evaluate information and analyze problems to develop effective solutions.
Serve as SME technical resource for electrical design, retrofits, repairs, and replacements.
Conduct field audits of electrical equipment to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare engineered drawings, equipment selections and reports in a timely manner.
Maintain relationships with existing customers and develop new ones.
Collaborate with project managers, estimators, superintendents, and other disciplines.
Communicate solutions to clients and internal managers clearly.
