Job summary

Jobot in the United States is seeking an experienced electrical designer to develop electrical designs for building power and lighting systems from concept through construction. You will handle calculations, layouts, reports, and design narratives while coordinating with other disciplines and mentoring junior staff.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, an EIT or PE, 6–8+ years of consulting and MEP project experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• EIT or PE license required.
• 6–8+ years of engineering consulting and MEP project experience.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of local codes and complex building systems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; LEED accreditation and sustainable design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for building power and lighting from concept through construction, including calculations, layouts, reports, and design narratives.
• Coordinate electrical requirements with other disciplines and manage MEP projects.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to project coordination and quality.
• Contribute to design narratives and ensure compliance with local building codes.

Develop electrical designs for building power and lighting systems from concept through construction, including calculations, layouts, reports, and design narratives. Coordinate electrical requirements with other disciplines, manage MEP projects, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements: Candidates should have a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, an EIT or PE license, and 6–8 or more years of engineering consulting and MEP project experience. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, experience with complex building systems and relevant project types, knowledge of local codes, and strong communication and leadership skills are sought; LEED accreditation and sustainable design experience are preferred.
