Job summary

Jobot in Orlando, FL, seeks an experienced lead electrical design engineer to drive MEP electrical design for commercial, multifamily, healthcare, municipal and specialty projects. You will prepare and review construction documents, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, support construction administration, ensure code compliance, and mentor junior staff.

Requires at least 7 years of MEP electrical design experience, a strong background in commercial and multifamily projects, and proficiency

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of MEP electrical design experience, with a strong background in commercial and multifamily projects.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design software and tools.
• Solid knowledge of NEC and applicable building codes; strong communication and coordination skills.
• Professional Engineer license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for a range of project types (commercial, multifamily, healthcare, municipal, specialty).
• Prepare and review construction documents and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Support construction administration and site visits.
• Ensure code compliance across projects.
• Mentor junior staff.
