Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and oversee complex building systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. This onsite Richmond, VA role requires leadership, strong client communication, and the ability to manage medium to large projects.

Candidates should hold a PE license, have 16+ years of experience, and be proficient with ETAP/SKM and Revit.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in electrical or architectural engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland is required.
• 16+ years of progressive experience including Lead Engineer/PM roles.
• LEED BD+C preferred.
• Proficient in ETAP or SKM; experience with Revit and lighting/power design for varied facilities.
• Excellent reputation, exceptional communication and organization, and mentoring ability.
• Possession of or ability to obtain government TS/SCI clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and project teams, including AE and sub-consultants.
• Develop fee proposals, manage project budgets, and direct project teams.
• Lead medium to large projects and mentor younger engineers.
• Ensure design of complex building systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
