Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead and develop teams on projects of all sizes in our Chicago or Detroit offices.

You will design electrical power and lighting systems, coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other disciplines, and guide junior staff. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, a PE license, 6+ years of design experience, US citizenship, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• U.S. Citizenship required; valid driver's license; able to pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams to complete electrical power and lighting designs.
• Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, mechanical and other disciplines.
• Prepare proposals, meet clients, and maintain strong client relations.
• Perform quality control checks on electrical designs and documentation.
• Manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff.
