Job summary

AECOM is hiring a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead design teams in Chicago or Detroit offices. You will deliver electrical power and lighting designs, coordinate with other disciplines, and manage project staffing and documentation while maintaining strong client relations.

The role requires a PE license, a degree in electrical engineering, and 6+ years of related design experience. Hybrid work arrangement and relocation are available.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and six years of related design experience or equivalency.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check.
US Citizenship is required for this role.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop teams to complete projects of various sizes.
Serve as Discipline Leader for the Illinois team.
Create electrical power and lighting designs for projects of all sizes.
Plan design work, estimate costs, and assign duties to junior staff.
Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other disciplines.
Maintain project documentation and design data for files.
Interface with clients, prepare proposals and presentations.
