Job summary

Salas O’Brien, Inc. in Plymouth, MI, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, life safety, and related technologies.

You will coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, ensure code-compliance and quality, and contribute to engineering standards while supporting project success.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree required.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Experience with power distribution design and calculations.
• Experience with lighting design and controls.
• Experience with fire alarm, data cabling, access control, CCTV systems.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong cross-disciplinary coordination and teamwork.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for complex projects and deliver construction documents.
• Ensure code compliance and quality across deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and review work.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and other disciplines.
