Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Staff Engineer/Senior Staff Engineer to lead high-impact electrical projects across a nationwide manufacturing network. The role offers a base salary with incentives, strong growth, and a comprehensive benefits package in Minnesota.

You will shape company-wide electrical design standards, lead advanced control system installations, and collaborate with IT, engineering, and vendors to drive capital projects with budgets up to $40M.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5+ years of industrial electrical experience.
• Minimum five years of relevant electrical experience, plus technical certification/licensure and leadership development.
• Strong initiative, creativity, and problem-solving ability.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent project management, organization, and communication abilities.
• Solid working knowledge of the NEC and its application in engineering design.
• Experience with distributed control systems (e.g., FactoryTalk View SE).
• CMRP certification or willingness to obtain within 18 months.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Shape and implement company-wide standards for electrical design across a large manufacturing network.
• Lead the design and installation of advanced control systems, including RFP development, bid packages, specs, and drawings.
• Partner with IT, engineering teams, and OEM vendors to support capital projects and process improvements.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives for operational systems.
• Plan and execute complex capital projects with annual budgets up to $40M.
• Address hardware obsolescence, reliability, and security vulnerabilities.
• Prepare cost estimates, CAPEX requests, project charters, design calculations, drawings, and procurement documentation.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and compliant with standards.
• Apply ROI and life-cycle cost analysis for smart engineering decisions.
• Travel occasionally to support projects and plant operations.
