Investigo seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead the development of a Class III implantable neuromodulation system for deep brain stimulation. You will guide a technical team, drive design decisions, and coordinate with clinicians and cross-functional groups.

Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device development and verification (Class III preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years in a regulated industry; medical device experience preferred.
  • Strong embedded system and power electronics expertise.
  • Experience with FDA submissions and ISO 13485/QSR.
  • Proficiency in C, Assembly, Python; strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of implantable neuromodulation systems and fixtures.
  • Design and analyze electronic circuits, embedded systems, power management.
  • Own schematic design, PCB layout, BOMs, and system integration.
  • Establish electrical product requirements and specs.
  • Design experiments to validate concepts and test methods.
  • Verify hardware performance for medical-grade reliability.
  • Mentor contract manufacturing engineers and technicians.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for full integration.
  • Contribute to IP through innovative disclosures.
  • Ensure design controls and quality system compliance.
  • Prepare technical reports and design reviews.
  • Gather clinician feedback on prototypes.
  • Align design inputs with Marketing, Regulatory, and Quality.
