Job summary

Epia Neuro in Alameda, CA is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer II to build implantable and wearable medical devices. You will own hardware from architecture to prototyping to production, balancing power, size, and reliability.

Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems teams to deliver integrated products; bring up boards, debug with lab equipment, and drive production transition.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS EE with 3+ years in low-power, small form-factor electrical systems.
  • End-to-end hardware development from concept to bring-up and validation.
  • Strong bench debugging skills with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and signal generators.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design low-power, miniaturized electrical systems for implantable and wearable medical devices.
  • Lead schematic design, component selection, simulation, and PCB layout for complex mixed-signal systems.
  • Develop and debug analog/digital systems integrating MCUs and FPGAs.
  • Prototype early-stage hardware and iterate through testing and validation.
  • Bring up new boards from scratch and drive root-cause debugging with lab instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems teams to deliver integrated products.
  • Partner with manufacturing to transition designs into production.
