Job summary

Echo Neurotechnologies in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own electrical architecture, circuit design and system integration for an active implantable device. You will work at the intersection of hardware, firmware and software, guiding design from concept through verification and regulatory support.

You’ll collaborate across Mechanical, Firmware/Software, Clinical and Regulatory teams, perform V&V, contribute to ISO 13485 compliant processes, and help ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s a plus.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably with Class III active implantable devices.
• Solid analog/mixed-signal circuit design experience (simulation, characterization, validation).
• Experience with full product development lifecycle from concept to regulatory submission.
• Proficiency with tools such as LTspice and lab/test equipment.
• Familiarity with FDA regulatory pathways and ISO 13485/14971/IEC standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and characterize analog/mixed-signal circuits for implantable devices.
• Support electrical and systems architecture across implant and external hardware.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Firmware/Software, Clinical and Regulatory teams for an integrated system.
• Author subsystem requirements and execute verification/validation testing; support FDA submissions.
• Support DFM/DFA and manufacturing test development.
