Job summary

Coherence Neuro in San Francisco is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the implant engineering team and help design, build, test and integrate the implant electronics of SOMA, our fully implantable therapeutic brain stimulation system.

This hands-on role covers defined circuit tasks from schematic design to prototyping, and you will work closely with senior engineers, using Altium, bench measurements, and Python for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years industry or research lab in circuit design, build and debugging.
• Python scripting for instrument control and data analysis.
• Hands-on bench experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies and DAQ.

Responsibilities

• Own circuit and subsystem development tasks: schematic design, prototyping, testing and debugging.
• Support development and integration across implant electrical subsystems.
• Plan and run bench testing with automated measurements for reproducibility.
• Design, lay out in Altium and bring up prototype hardware and interfaces.
• Document designs and results for verification and hand-off to test team.
