Job summary

Rosendin is hiring a Senior Engineer III in Austin, TX. You will lead engineering teams on high-profile electrical projects, ensuring compliance with codes and standards while mentoring staff.

The role blends design oversight, field collaboration, and commissioning responsibilities on major industrial, commercial, and health-sector facilities. The position requires PE licensure, strong knowledge of power distribution, and experience coordinating across trades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of Engineering Experience
• One-year on-site field experience strongly encouraged
• Licensure as a US-based Professional Engineer is required
• Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on projects
• May be the Engineer of Record for assigned projects
• Supervise, review, and process equipment and system submittals
• Coordinate electrical trades across architectural, structural, mechanical, and plumbing
• Oversee design of power, lighting, and auxiliary systems
• Prepare power system single-line diagrams and feeder sizing
• Conduct short circuit and Arc Flash studies
• Perform distribution analysis and voltage drop calculations
• Visit job sites to survey existing electrical conditions
• Develop sequences of operations for designed systems
• Support testing and commissioning of equipment
• Review plans, specs, contracts, and estimates
• Coordinate with city/state officials and external agencies
• Prepare commissioning documentation
