Job summary

Merrick & Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and BIM across complex projects. The role covers programming through construction, with emphasis on power distribution, lighting, and facility systems.

Candidates should have 12+ years in facility electrical design, a PE license, and proficiency with REVIT/AutoCAD. Hybrid schedule offered; U.S. citizenship is required for client projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or architectural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Twelve (12) years of experience in facility electrical engineering design.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
• Proficient in REVIT/AutoCAD.
• Extensive knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEE codes.
• Experience with lighting and power design tools such as AGi32, Elum Tools, SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or EasyPower.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for facilities including Government and private clients.
• Provide conceptual and detailed design for power distribution, lighting, telecoms, fire alarm, security, and more.
• Prepare supporting calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Meet with clients to outline scope and validate proposals.
• Prepare fee proposals for engineering work.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with other disciplines.
