Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead the development of complex electronics assemblies from concept through production, designing high-performance digital and mixed-signal hardware for aerospace, defense, and space applications.

You will create schematics, select components, design multilayer PCBs, perform SI/PI analyses, and drive hardware bring-up, verification, and production readiness with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years designing, analyzing, and testing board-level electronics.
• Experience in aerospace/defense or mission-critical hardware.
• Experience taking designs from concept to release and production.
• Strong SI/PI analysis methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex electronics assemblies from concept development through production deployment.
• Design high-performance digital and mixed-signal hardware supporting RF systems and telemetry.
• Develop circuits using FPGAs, microprocessors, microcontrollers, memory devices, and other programmable tech.
• Create detailed schematics, component selections, and supporting documentation.
• Design and optimize multilayer PCBs, including high-speed and RF architectures.
• Perform signal integrity and power integrity analyses and thermal assessments.
• Develop hardware bring-up strategies and verification plans.
• Execute board-level validation, troubleshooting, and production readiness.
• Support manufacturing transition activities with cross-functional teams.
• Investigate and resolve issues during development, integration, and production.
• Partner with software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams.
• Provide technical mentorship and uphold design standards.
