Job summary

Hitachi Energy in North America is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Grid & Power Quality Solutions team in the GPQS unit. You will lead projects from concept through commissioning, collaborating with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for FACTS, power quality, and transmission.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and 7+ years of experience, strong NEC/ANSI/IEEE knowledge, and the ability to drive design,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and ANSI/IEEE standards.
• Excellent technical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical engineering activities across multiple projects and project phases.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Design and execute projects in accordance with customer requirements and applicable FACTS, NEC, ANSI, and IEEE standards.
• Prepare and review engineering documentation, including specifications, RFPs, manufacturing packages, and as-built drawings.
• Support project planning through scope definition, cost estimating, scheduling, and risk management.
• Collaborate closely with customers, suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams to drive project success.
• Review supplier deliverables, evaluate vendors, and support procurement of electrical equipment and materials.
• Provide technical support during testing, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
