Zusammenfassung

Nexamp is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Clean Energy Deployment team in the United States. You will review solar & storage project designs, provide electrical engineering expertise for interconnection, construction, and commissioning of DERs, and collaborate with a cross-functional team in a hybrid work setup.

The role reports to the Director, Electrical Engineering and supports multiple markets. Ideal candidates have PV experience, EIT, and strong modeling/design skills.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in electrical engineering required and EIT certification preferred.
• Experience with utility-scale design and HV substations is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IBC, IFC and electrical principles.

Aufgaben

• Specify and review equipment shop drawings for switchgear, transformers and other major electrical equipment.
• Perform advanced electrical modeling to coordinate protection, fault-duty ratings and arc-flash hazards.
• Manage scope of 3rd party engineers including studies and protection coordination.
• Support Grid Integration and Project Engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review reports, witness tests and develop protection settings; implement grid-edge tech as needed.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews of SLDs and site layouts.
• Respond to RFIs during active construction and ensure code compliance.
