Job summary

Madsen Associates seeks a highly motivated mid-to-senior Professional Engineer to join our team of multi-disciplinary engineers. The Engineer will conduct field investigations and perform failure/accident analysis for electrical and mechanical systems across commercial and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities include documenting conditions, evaluating designs, preparing detailed reports, and supporting litigation efforts when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 10 years electrical engineering experience in design or related field.
• Arizona Licensed Professional Engineer through NCEES (or ability to obtain).
• Knowledge of ICC, NEC, NFPA and related codes.
• Experience in litigation support and expert testimony is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and document as-built conditions.
• Perform failure/accident analysis on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Evaluate design drawings and documentation for repair scope and origins.
• Provide electrical support for fire origin/causes investigations as needed.
• Communicate findings to clients and interface with authorities and contractors.
• Manage multiple projects, on time and within budget.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
• Willing to travel on short notice.
