Job summary

MKA International, Inc. is seeking a mid-to-senior level Professional Engineer to join a team of multi-disciplinary engineers.

The role involves field investigations and failure/accident analysis for electrical and mechanical systems across commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential facilities. Responsibilities include documenting as-builts, evaluating drawings, and supporting fire origin analyses with electrical expertise; strong client communication and project management are

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Idaho LPE through NCEES or ability to obtain is required/desirable.
• Minimum 10 years Electrical Engineering experience in design or related areas.
• Knowledge of ICC, NEC, NFPA, and similar codes is required.
• Experience providing litigation support including expert testimony is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Field work to document conditions and damage to electrical systems and equipment from natural or human causes.
• Use codes, technical knowledge, and construction practices to establish repair scope and origin analyses.
• Evaluate design drawings and documentation.
• Provide electrical support for fire origin and cause analyses.
• Communicate with clients and interface with officials and contractors; prepare detailed reports.
• Manage multiple projects, delivering on time and within budget; develop client relationships.
• Willing to travel on short notice as needed.
