Job summary

Madsen Associates is seeking a mid-to-senior level licensed Professional Engineer to join our team of multidisciplinary engineers in Denver. The role focuses on forensic analysis of structural systems for residential, commercial, industrial facilities, and marine/inland structures.

You will analyze failure causes, author technical reports, and support construction litigation with expert testimony. Responsibilities include field documentation of conditions, applying codes to determine repair

Qualifications

BS in Civil/Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience.
Colorado Licensed Professional Engineer (NCEES).
Knowledge of ICC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, NDS, and related codes.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience providing litigation support including expert testimony is desirable.

Responsibilities

Conduct fieldwork to document as-built conditions and damage to structural systems.
Apply codes and engineering knowledge to establish repair scope and cause/origin analyses.
Evaluate design drawings and documentation.
Communicate with clients, code officials and contractors; prepare detailed reports.
Manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and budgets.
Develop and maintain client relationships.
Travel as needed on short notice.
