Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a multi-office team, including Madison, WI, to deliver design on Federal Power and Energy projects. You will lead electrical design activities, develop diagrams and calculations, and work from concept through construction with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of experience, a PE license, and familiarity with NAVFAC/USACE standards, UFCs, NEC, and industry codes.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
7+ years of post-education electrical engineering design experience.
Professional Engineering license.
US citizenship with ability to pass security background check.
Experience with UFCs, UFGSs, FCs, NEC, ANSI/IEEE, NFPA, ICC codes.
Experience designing to NAVFAC and USACE standards.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for facilities and infrastructure projects from inception through construction.
Create single-line and three-line diagrams, layouts, and grounding/lighting designs.
Develop electrical calculations including load, short-circuit, arc-flash, voltage drop, and motor starting analyses.
Prepare contract documents: drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to junior engineers.
